ÅS IF was one of 36 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Storsjöcupen 2019. The team in Flickor 16 made it to the the 1/4 Final in Slutspel A, but lost it against Steinkjer FK by 2-4.
In addition to this, ÅS IF have participated in Storsjöcupen before. During Storsjöcupen 2018, ÅS had 10 teams playing in 8 out of Storsjöcupens all 14 categories. The team in Flickor 16 made it to the the 1/8 Final in Slutspel A, but lost it against IK Grand Bodö by 0-3. ÅS comes from ÅS which lies approximately 12 km from Östersund, where Storsjöcupen takes place. The area around ÅS does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Storsjöcupen 2019 (Among others: Frösö IF, IFK Östersund, Brunflo FK, Ope IF, IFK Lit, Östersunds FK, Krokom Dvärsätts IF, IFK Östersund/IFK U, Tanzania Out Growers Football Academy. and IFK Östersund U-16).
